Reflection Paper on OHN
It was a fun-filled experience. Visiting an ice cream factory and watching how ice
creams are made and produced made me feel like Im 5 years old again. On our way to
Bulacan, everybodys up and bouncing excited to see the ice cream factory and taste
FICs Ice cream. But that is not the reason why we visited an ice cream factory. What is
our goal then?
A very accommodating and hospitable staff welcomed us. The Supervisor briefed
us on how they produce their ice cream, the history of its production, the ingredients
they use, their market, and the likes, and it made us even more excited to see how their
ice creams are produce and how it tastes! Maam Sarah Jane Florentino, one of the
companys quality assurance personnel, accompanied us and toured us to their factory.
She explained to us in detail how their ice creams are produced.
But thats not the reason why we visited an ice cream factory. We are tasked to
interview the Occupational Health Nurse of the company for us to know the duties and
responsibilities and how OH Nurses function. Sadly, the company do not have their own
in-house company nurse. The only nurse they have is the one outside the premises of
the factory.
The trip maybe tiring, but the experience is remarkable. And the rain did not stop
us. This OHN activity did not only briefed us on how OH Nurses function, but also made
our RLEs tie much more bonded. It was memorable and fun indeed. Kudos for our
RLE!
