Reading
The reading story for this week is Soccer
Friends pgs. 348-351 in the Student
Reading/Writing Workshop Textbook. The
story will be assigned as homework on
Tuesday. We will also be reading Once Upon
a Baby Brother pgs. 412-437 in the
Literature Anthology Textbook. This story
will be assigned as homework on Wednesday.
Please continue to listen to your child read
and sign the reading record sheet in the take
home folder.
The Students will be taking the IPAD and
reading book home on Tuesday and
Wednesday to read the story. Please monitor
your child when he or she is using the IPAD.

Math
This week we will continue to practice telling
time. We will practice telling time to the
hour, half hour, quarter hour and five minute
intervals. A math homework page will be
assigned for everyday except Tuesday and
Friday.
Important Dates
April 21st School dismisses at 11:25 on
Tuesday due to School Improvement
Meetings.
April 22nd 23rd Spring Book Fair
Our class will shop on Wednesday, April 22nd
and Thursday, April 23rd from 8:40-9:05.

Spelling
The spelling words for this week are: soil,
April 23rd Kindergarten Round Up at
toy, coin, Ill, laugh. The spelling test will Bethalto East on Thursday, April 23rd
include five base words, prefixes and suffixes 6:00-8:00.
or pattern words. Our next test is on Friday.
Please continue practicing the spelling words
at home.
