Language Arts
Reading- Wilson Sat Alone
Reading and Vocabulary- test Friday

Social Studies
For homework this weekend, students need to fill
out the GREEN information sheet with the help of
an adult. Please return the completed green
sheet to school on Monday! Each student will
need to memorize this information as part of their
social studies grade. Students will have until
Friday, November 4th to memorize their
information. Thank you for your continued
support at home; it is greatly appreciated by us!
Dont forget, Math Homework goes home on
Tuesday, unless your child did not finish his/her
work during class.

Reminders
**Our next PTA (Parent Teacher Association)
meeting is going to be on Monday, October 10th at
5:30pm in the schools media center. We would
love to have more parents join and have their voice
heard! PTA is also looking for some parent
volunteers to help with popcorn Fridays. Please
let us know if you are available to help pop
popcorn!
**Keep sending in box tops to school. We will
keep collecting them during the entire school year
and they really add up!

Spelling- Phonograms: at and ate

Spelling Pre-test Wednesday
Spelling Final test- Friday
Students are encouraged to take home reading
books on Thursdays to re-read weekly story and
vocabulary especially if theyre struggling with the
test. All tests questions are read to them. The
stories are read three times during the week and all
questions and answers are reviewed before the
test.

Math Expressions
We are still working on word problems in Math
Expressions, and will continue to do so all year
long. To help your kiddo at home, here are the
steps we use to solve the problem:
Read the problem and underline the
question
Circle the important information
Figure out what the label is (be careful,
they want to trick you!)
Do we need math mountains or comparison
bars?
Write the addition AND subtraction
equation
Lastly, fill in the answer
Phew!
