The document discusses a court ruling removing Lutfur Rahman as mayor of Tower Hamlets and banning him from running again. It argues that the ruling is politically motivated and will increase Islamophobia and racism by portraying Muslims as unable to think for themselves. It pledges to campaign against the verdict and demands that Rahman be reinstated as mayor. The document calls for people to support demonstrations and meetings protesting the court's decision.

Lutfur Rahman and ban him from re-standing is a gross injustice by one unelected barrister. It is a political decision that will boost Islamophobia and racism. It is saturated with the view that Muslims are entirely guided by religious leaders and cannot make up their own minds. It (wrongly) denounces Lutfur Rahman for playing the race card but nothing is done about those in UKIP, the Tories and the Labour leadership who actually play on race to grab votes. Name

Tower Hamlets council has angered the
government by continuing to pay EMA to 16-18 year olds, keeping social care free, and providing free school meals. The main political parties want to crush any challenge to their dominance. We pledge to campaign against this verdict and support demonstrations and meetings called against it. We demand that the verdict and its penalties be set aside and that Lutfur Rahman be restored as mayor.
