THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR PROJECT

In the spirit of the Revolutionary War, you will have freedom with this
project. Freedom to CHOOSE HOW YOU WILL COMPLETE this
project. Just to get you brainstorming on what you will turn in, here are
some ideas: Song, Rap, Skit, Drawing, Timeline, Powerpoint, Flipbook,
An actual Map, or a Concept Map. Again these are just suggestions, it
is encouraged to think outside the box!!!
For this project you will be researching events surrounding the
Revolutionary war. It will be your job to research the following topics
either in the book (p. 152-195), or online. While researching be sure
not to just look at what the event was, when it happened, and who
won, but rather what is the significance of this topic, and how did it
affected the Revolutionary War. <<<<<This is what you will be graded
on. Whether or not you show the significance of this topic in relation to the
war.
Including all of the required topics will get you a passing grade.
The Following is a list of required topics.
Treaty of Paris, French Alliance and Support, African

American Involvement, Women Involvement, and the Advantages


and Disadvantages of both sides (Great Britain vs. America).
NEATNESS
The Following is a list of topics for Extra Points.
Choose up to Three (3): Lexington and Concord,

Ticonderoga, Bunker Hill, Saratoga, Valley Forge, Yorktown, Who


are the Patriots and who are the Loyalists, Crossing the Delaware,
Guerrilla Warfare, Native American Involvement.
Other topics in the Revolutionary War that you know of, or
discover while researching. Make sure to inform me of this
choice.
Color and visuals. If your project is something that cannot
include colors and visuals (Ex. Skit, Song, Rap) you will get points
for creativity.
