Dear Fresquez:
My name is Jackelin Coronel and I am a Senior at Merced High School. I am writing this letter
in regards to the Human Resource Specialist position that you offer. The Army is suitable for me
because school is not my thing right now, I want to serve our country, and make my parents
proud. I can assure you that I will be a great asset to the Army and have the qualities it takes to
be a Human Resource Specialist.
I have a passion to serve our country and join the military. I never really took joining very
serious it was just once a thought that passed through my mind. But, then I started thinking about
it more and more. I would do research here and there, and before I knew it I was motivated and
excited to join. I was a T.A in the discipline office of my school and that helped me gain
knowledge of dealing with students, seeing their reactions to every situation, and to always keep
things to myself. I am currently a T.A for my school's Registrar Office which means that I have
experience with filing Transcripts, seeing and keeping personal things to myself, also
responsibility which leads within making sure that those Transcripts or Cum Files return safely. I
am also part of Pacific Club, Yearbook Staff, and a Photography student. I have worked hard and
earned each grade I have received. I can also speak/ read Spanish and English fluently. I also
took a Typing and Keyboarding class which gave me the knowledge of knowing to type at 90
wpm.
