UNITED PIPING CORPORATION


Supervised and installed many projects on time and under budget for
Delphi-Anderson; Guide Corp; St. Johns Hospital; Owens Brockway Glass
factory-Lapel IN; Anderson Community Schools; Community HospitalAnderson.
Major Projects: Supervised and coordinated 26 pipefitters and support
tradesmen (electricians, millwrights, sheet metal workers) in the
removal and relocation of 5 small air compressors to facilitate
installation of one large air compressor and associated equipment
without affecting operation of the facility. Supervised many other 4-12
man projects: installed a new domestic hot water heating system for St.
Johns Hospital; rebuilding of glass furnaces for Brockway Glass. As a 4th
year apprentice led a crew of 6 pipefitters in the removal and
replacement of a bottle forming machine for Brockway Glass.

1994-2006

INSTRUCTOR
Pipefitters Local 661 Apprenticeship Program, Muncie IN
Subjects taught include rigging, soldering and brazing, sanitary drainage,
medical gas installations, Indiana State plumbing code, natural gas
installation. Class sizes ranged from 6-12 journeymen or apprentices.
Instrumental in improving the success rate of apprentices obtaining their
state plumbing license. The success rate went from 60% to 93%.

1994-2006

When work was slow at United Piping worked for: PEERLESS PLUMBING;
GREINER BROS.; BMW CONSTRUCTORS; KENNEDY TANK
Clients included: Chrysler North, Chrysler Foundry, Chrysler AssemblyKokomo; Chrysler-New Castle; Eli Lilly; National Starch; Riley Tar &
Chemical-Indianapolis.

1989-1990

GREINER BROS - second year apprentice


Piping for a new food processing plant at correctional industrial complex
at Pendleton Reformatory with over 400 drains installed, several steam
reducing stations, and four mechanical rooms.

June 1988

Started five-year Apprenticeship with NORTH MECHANICAL


Gutted old boiler room at Frankton High School, Frankton, IN and
installed two new boilers, and associated piping and equipment.

1987-1988

ALBEA PLUMBING
Installed plumbing at apartment complexes in Anderson, IN and
Greenwood, IN, and also a hot water heating system at the Anderson
YMCA.

1986-1987

U.S.S Harold E. Holt (FF-1074)


Supervised and performed maintenance and repairs on mechanical
systems. Damage control scene leader, which entailed directing 8-10
men in damage control drills and duties.

1983-1985

U.S. NAVY SUBMARINE BASE-PEARL HARBOR


Maintenance, repair, & installation of piping and mechanical systems on
fast attack submarines, led a crew of 4 men in the heavy plate shop.
