Library Highlights

Wax Museum/State Fair May 7th


All the 4th grade students have been working hard getting ready for this event. They have checked out library books and
gone online to find their information for their display board. They become a famous person from this state and practice
their speech that will be performed before the student body during the day and their parents in the evening.

What we did in the library this month

Digital Citizenship

Focus/Activity
Butterfly Book, The Giant Cabbage, Danny and the Duck/Ralph the Rabbit, and Ten
Rowdy Ravens were read, talked about and enjoyed this month.
Books read, talked about and enjoyed were: I am a Frog, The Giant Cabbage, Scooby-Doo
and the Cupcake Caper, and Charlie Plays Ball.
One Plastic Bag, Coyote In Love, The Three Little Gattors and Click, Clack, Peep were
read, discussed and enjoyed this month.
Glamourpuss, Bigfoot Cinderrrrrella, 3 Little Dassies and Three Snow Bears were
read, discussed and enjoyed.
Continuing to read the book The Great Escape. This book as pages every so often where they
explain how to do a card trick. Finally finished this story and did some puzzles the last week of
April.
A section from a two of our historical fiction books: Wills Story: 1771, & Dash were read,
discussed and enjoyed. We did some of the Book of Records Ultimate Quiz Challenge in week
three. Then in week 4 Library Bingo was played and winners chose their prizes.

Library Management Tasks (Barcoding/Processing/Ordering/Inventory) : Purchased new books and got them ready
for check out; Training end of year Sub; Created Parent Survey and posted it; Worked on new display in Display case;
Sending out notifications for books overdue letting parents know that all missing books go to PowerSchool the first
full week of May.
Volunteer Hours: 3 hrs.
Library Clerk Hours: 90 hrs.
