Monthly Report:
Joy Elementary
Lib ra ry H ighlights
A highlight for the library this month was the annual Warehouse book fair. Parents
were able to volunteer and earn credit towards the purchase of books for their
children. Teachers throughout the district were able to purchase books at a
discounted rate for their classrooms. The proceeds assists the Joy Library and the
Joy PTA with books for the library and books to support our book give away
program for students.
Joy Elementary is considered to be a Green Star School. This means that we
support environmental education and programs. The students were read books
about the rain forest and environmental concerns.
Students were read stories celebrating Easter and the Easter Bunny.
Primary students listened to stories about ladybugs and created ladybug
wristbands.
Intermediate students created and read a mad lib about the library. They also
completed library word search puzzles.
Parents, please access this link to complete a survey about the library, so that we
can better serve you and your child. http://goo.gl/forms/xicsVbXerq
