COMMUNICATION
at Virginia Tech
Communication Studies - This major allows
students to pursue a career in almost any
field. The courses taken at Virginia Tech will
expose you to communication theories and
practices, and will better your understanding
of an effective participation in communication
across interpersonal, organizational, and
public contexts.

Multimedia Journalism - With this

major, students will be prepared for work

in all aspects of journalistic media, including electronic and print media. You will gain
skills in interviewing, photography, digital
video production, and media writing. To gain
more experience, Virginia Tech also hires
students to write for the Collegiate Times.

Public Relations - With a degree in

Public Relations from VT you can work with

any corporate, government, nonprofit or PR
agency. You can also join the Public Relations
Student Society of America, an organization
that connects Virginia Techs students with PR
professionals on a national level.
