Hello everyone! The end of the year is coming up quickly. Id like

to thank all the parents for the support of their childs
learning this year!
MATH- We started to work on multi-digit multiplication. I will be collecting mad minutes for 2
more weeks. Please continue to work on multiplication/division facts over the summer. The more
exposure they have to their facts they better prepared they will be for 4th grade. A summer
pack will also be going home at the end of the year. Practice, practice, practice!!!
LANGUAGE ARTS- The students are working on informational reading and writing. We are all
experts on a subject and the students are teaching us a lot!
SCIENCE- The 3rd graders are learning about force and motion. Students will learn
about push and pull as well as how toys work in space.

SOCIAL STUDIES- We are still working on government. We are looking at laws and how they
are made. We will also be reading about Henry Ford.
Michigan animal reports are almost finished. Projects for this are due on May 21st. I am excited
to see all of their hard work!

Our state assessment for 3rd grade starts this week. Math will be on Wednesday 13th and
Thursday 14th. Language Arts will be on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th. It
is important to have your child here on those days. Please reschedule any appointments you
may have for these days!
Field Day is June 2nd. If possible, join us for an afternoon of fun!!
