Heres what is happening! Language Arts: We are working on our


Informational writing. The students have picked a topic that they are experts in and are writing everything they know about it. In their writing they are using many different text features- captions, diagrams, bullets, bold.

Math: In math we have started Unit 9.


This unit will cover multiplication by using multi-digits and extended facts. This week we will be testing on 12s. Continue to practice multiplication facts. I am noticing kids are starting to forget their basic multiplication facts. Minimum of 2 mad minutes per week. This is part of our weekly homework. Science: Our science unit is on changes in motion. We will be talking and learning that motion happens when objects change position and forces are pushes and pulls.

Social Studies: The students have been


working hard at researching their animals habitat, adaptations/physical characteristics and food chain. The students are also working very hard on their at home project. I am very excited to see and hear the presentations.
