Heres what we are working on!
Math: We are working on Unit 2. This
covers math fact extensions, fact families,
addition and subtraction with borrowing
and carrying and number stories. Please go
over your childs homework with them and
have them correct any errors. This helps
reinforce concepts learned in class.

Language Arts: We continue to work
on Questioning. We are working very hard
to think and wonder about what we are
reading. Look for a newsletter on
questioning to be posted to the blog.
Social Studies: We are studying the
Geography of Michigan. We are
looking at maps and discovering that
Michigan has a little bit of everything in
its landforms! We will also look at
Michigans human characteristics.

Hello! October was an exciting month.
The children have been settling into our
rooms and routines. Everyone enjoys
taking part in the jobs that make our
classroom and school run smoothly. The
changes that fall brought were
particularly exciting. We love those
colorful leaves! It is important to
remember to dress for the weather.
BrrrSnow for Halloween! It is time to
start pulling out winter gear!
