Modern

Communication

Communication means :

1. The exchange of thoughts, messages, or

information.

2. An opening or a connecting passage between two

structures.

In the past people had to rely on slow

means of communication like telegraphs
and mail that were both time consuming and
expensive as they required labor.

Our world has morphed into a global village, where

anything happening in one part is instantaneously
known by the other.
As recently as 10 years ago, such nearly
instantaneous, world-shrinking communication would
not have been possible; because the critical pieces of
technology in both computing and communication
were just emerging.

The internet, cell phones, fax machines and

pagers are a way of life in the modern
society.

Now a days we have mobile phones and

internet at our disposal at all times. Using
these one can communicate his message to
anyone around the globe provided that the
other person has these means of
communication as well.

Social Networks

On the internet there are countless social

networks, enabling people to stay in touch with
friends and family all the time.

Impact of Modern
Communication on us
The recent changes in our means of
communication have changed our lives in so
many ways.
It has its advantages like
1. We are much more aware about the world we
live in.
2. We can communicate in a faster, better and
safer way.
But the disadvantages cant be ignored as well
and the biggest of all is that we have become
too much dependent on technology and try to
evade doing any work by ourselves.
