SCIENCE TECHOLOGY AND SOCIETY

Technology: A Friend or a Foe?

As people have evolved, it has always been in their nature to communicate and

engage with one another. People have been contradicting one other since the invention

of technology, whether technology has improved or hampered our ability to

communicate with one another. Today, technology has improved human communication

all around the world. Many instances may be found and supported at the time when

Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, as well as in the structure and

production of media itself.

The invention of the telephone had a favorable influence on the technical

communication business. Communication was more difficult than it could have ever

been for people all over the world before the development of the telephone.

Communication between two people who lived far apart used to be as easy as a

handwritten letter. The task of actually carrying the letter was generally to another

individual who had a horse or even a falcon to deliver it. Depending on the distance

traveled for that delivery, these approaches might endure for weeks or even months.

The telephone was developed by none other than Alexander Graham Bell as

technology evolved and bred. Graham Bell intended to create something that would

allow people to speak with one another more efficiently and conveniently. Whether you

resided in the northeast or the southeast, the telephone enabled individuals to connect

across those boundaries. The telephone has surely assisted individuals to contact one

another no matter where they were, especially at a moment of need in the modern age.

Years passed, and the telephone developed into gadgets such as cellular phones. The
telephone's unique technologies allow people all over the world to communicate with

one another both locally and globally.

The invention of media has had a large influence on the technological

communication innovation age, just as much as the telephone. Similarly, finding out

about news and other things used to be a lot more difficult than it is now. As old as it

gets, information and news were formerly delivered by simple letters or by individuals

yelling from town to town to notify others. One example is during the Revolutionary War

when Paul Revere warned the Americans that the British were on their way. Soon after,

the base of news and information telling continues to develop throughout time, most

likely from the old newspaper received from house to house to the emergence of news

media and social media. Since technology has developed, so has society.

Communication with others could not be easier. The production of media lays a solid

basis for a creative communication strategy. The usage of news media informs those

watching at home, or even those living in different parts of the world, with either critical

information about a rumored occurrence, or an interesting tale that will delight the

audience. Every day, social media allows individuals to interact with one another on a

more intimate level. Within the social media community, there are discussions,

exchanges, and even work. Technology has had nothing but a good influence on

communication dissemination, and the usage of social media has demonstrated this

tremendously.

The harmful impacts of global warming and climate change can be attributed to

technological advancement. It is impossible to dispute the importance of technology in

promoting economic advancement. However, the creation of energy required for

increasing manufacturing and transportation of commodities, such as through

combustion engines and thermoelectric generators, has resulted in an increase in

greenhouse gas emissions and concentrations in the atmosphere. Technology is

changing our way of life and will have an impact on the cognitive and social

development of present and future generations. The progress of technology and

civilization are intertwined in a variety of ways. Our lives have been transformed by

technological advancement. Computers, cellphones, and the internet have had a

significant impact on how we communicate with others. Many argue that they deprive

our lives and make us more isolated. Technology may also aid in cultural colonization

and the reduction of variety. Youngsters nowadays spend less time playing with other

children and more time viewing movies on their iPads and playing computer games.

People are getting less physical activity than their forefathers. We are getting more

disconnected from nature and more reliant on electronic equipment.

People's ability to communicate and connect highlights a key aspect of

civilization. Technology has created such a wonderful border for people all across the

world that its effect has improved communication and engagement. From the simple

conveyance of a letter to another, technology has improved the experience of news and

information distribution to be much more efficient and beneficial. The invention of

telephones has enabled individuals to communicate in a more advanced manner than

was before possible. Technology has laid a solid platform for people all around the

world to have a better and more fulfilling life. It is practically hard to determine whether

technology is useful or negative. We, as users, are the decision-makers, and we must

choose how to use technology and its beneficial features to improve our lives rather
than allowing it to take over and have bad consequences. Use technology solely for

good; it will improve your life.
