Final pre interview/presenting task Thursday 2nd December.

Unit 36 P3/Unit 37 P3/Unit 4 P2/Unit 4 P3


This is the final preparation for the Binge drinking interview you are going to carry
out.
Interview Plan This must be DETAILED and PROFESSIONAL to include
the following:
A) Information on rehearsal you carried out in class (role play) and the
feedback you got positive and negative.
B) This should also include information of costume, props and an equipment
list.
C) Include the intended time, date, location of your interview. Have a back-up
plan to prove you have taken steps to ensure you still get an interview
even if the location/date dont work out.
D) Preparation explain any liaison you have had with your interviewee
have you made arrangements with them/sent them the questions etc..
Include evidence of correspondence with interviewees (email/text etc).
E) In your plan you MUST include reasons for carrying out such a thorough
plan explain the importance of research, structuring an interview etc.
Give specific examples of how you have taken all the steps necessary to
make sure your interview is well planned. Give examples of bad
interviews that were not well research/structured and how you want to
avoid this.
F) Carry out a recce of your interview locations, to ensure health and
safety/risk assessments are carried out/noise levels/lighting etc.
G) If your target audience research for your proposals wasnt good then you
need to resubmit this in order for your grade for Unit 4 P2 to be D.
H) Needed for D - Legal and ethical considerations look at Ofcoms code.
How will you ensure your programme will not breach the code? Give
examples. What are the ethical considerations you should give to a
programme regarding teens and binge drinking?
I) If you are working in a group you need to submit a production diary
including who has done which task and also explaining what tasks you
have managed.

Storyboard Carry out a storyboard of real interview similar to yours to give


you ideas of the shots/angles/edits you intend to use.
Storyboard of your actual interview
Script TWO copies. Have one version for yourself to use on the day this
should look like a professional script. The second version needs to be
highlighted, demonstrating to me the interview techniques you have used

and how you have structured it and why (i.e building bridges, developmental
questions) Use the terms from the website we looked at and also these key
terms question formulation, progressive questions, summary, introduction.

Cue Cards These need to be real cue cards you will use on the day (logo on
the front, filled in correctly on the back).
Shooting script this covers a list of the camera shots you will use, what
question you will ask in that time/what you will say. Similar to a storyboard
but without images. It should also include timings.
Rehearsal once you have finished all your planning above you will carry
out a filmed rehearsal of your interview.

To get a distinction this needs to be well planned, professional and


organised remember all the hard work you did for your film paper work
planning (unit 22) you need to work to this level again.
In order to get D for Unit 4 work must be submitted on time, work
independently and work well in a group, managing tasks.
