Floods
The horror of the natural disaster. FLOOD. Floods mostly happen everywhere
with streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans. Floods usually do not occur in dry areas but all
50 states are subject to flash floods. When a flash flood occurs it can bring walls of
water from 10 to 20 feet high. The causes of floods can happen by climate change,
snow melting rapidly, and also rainfall to rapidly and result in destroyed homes,
buildings, and roads, kills people, and also sweeps things down into streams, rivers,
and lakes.
Floods are caused by climate change, snow melting rapidly, and rain falling too
rapidly. According to the magazine Before the deluge, floods are caused when warm
air holds more moisture, heavier precipitation known as climate change increasing the
probability of basare types of weather. Also according to the book World of Science,
when snow melts too rapidly the ground cant soak in all of the water, causing floods to
happen. The same thing happens when rain falls to rapidly. Floods are caused by

As a result, floods can destroy homes, buildings, and roads, kill people, and also
sweep things into streams, rivers, and lakes. The magazine The deluge states that the
flood water destroys homes, buildings, and roads. The water can destroy the homes
and buildings in the inside or just break down the whole house. Also in this magazine it
said that all the sediment gets washed down into streams, rivers, and lakes causing

many people die from floods because they are usually drowned by the water impact.
The effects of floods are destroying homes, buildings, and roads, human deaths, and
also sweeping things down into stream, rivers, and lakes.
