Pokball
Final Project

Introduction:
A pokball is a fictional device used to capture fictional creatures
called Pokmons. It is constructed of 3 different pieces, the cover,
middle, and the button. The top cover and the bottom cover are the
same pieces; so two covers will be needed to construct a pokball.
Once the Pokmon is weakened during battle, the trainer will be
able to use the pokball to capture the Pokmon to use to later
battles.
Assembly
The final assembly of the pokball is rendered through SolidWorks.
The top cover is made of a rose gold alloy while the bottom cover
is made out of black titanium. The middle piece is made of
polished tungsten while the button is chrome-plated steel. An
exploded view shows the various parts of the pokball as well as a
build of material list.

Conclusion: Overall, I feel that the use of CAD programs such as

SolidWorks and AutoCAD programs are really useful in the field
of engineering. It is finally nice to be able to bring and idea to life
by created a computer model of the idea and actually being able to
manipulate the object in real time. Engineering is a field that
requires both accuracy and precision, and in a world where
precision can be measured in fractions of a millimeter. Ideally, it
would be nice if every engineer were proficient at any type of
CAD program. SolidWorks, being a complicated program, it can
be hard to use sometimes. There are many different ways to create
a particular part and it is up to the user to understand what
SolidWorks is capable of and what it is not capable of.
