Classroom Expectations
1. Be Respectful

**Please stay in your seats until the bell rings and do not gather at the door. I will
dismiss you from the class, not the bell.

Behavior Issues
In the instance that we experience some behavior issues during class time, they
will be handled using the following:

Verbal Warning
You will be asked to leave the room and collect yourself.
Discussion about behavior with the teacher after class
Parents will be notified about the disruptive behaviors and a detention will be
given.

**Given the circumstances of the behavior issues, some steps may be skipped if
necessary.

Bathroom/Water Breaks
It is expected for you to take care of these things before you come to class. If you
are worried about being late coming to class from passing periods, I will not count
you as tardy/absent if you inform me that you are going to use the bathroom or
get a drink if you tell me before the tardy bell rings. Due to the short time period
of the classes 4A and 4B should not expect to leave the classroom during class

times.
**Do not expect to be excused to use the restroom or get water if you abuse this
privilege.

Cell Phones
As with school policy, students are not allowed to use their cell phones during
class time. You will be required to place your cell phone in the holder hanging on
the wall.
If you do not place your phone in a space provided while we are in the classroom
and are caught using the phone. The phone will be taken and taken to the office
where your parents or yourself will be required to pick it up in order for your to get
it back.
**If there is an issue and you need to use your phone during class, please let me
know before class starts.

Late Work
6 If you are gone or tardy to class and miss an assignment, it is your responsibility
your come to me and find out what you missed.
6 If you are gone the day an assignment is handed out, for excused absences, you
will be given two day for every day your are gone to make up your work. No
extra time will be given if your absence is unexcused.
6 My rules for late work are:
6 After due date through first week late is 75%
6 1 week to 2 weeks late is 50%
After 2 weeks late is a zero

Grading
Students grades will be determined on assignments, quizzes, tests, projects and
participation points. Grades will be determined on the following scale:
A
90 - 100%
B
80 - 89%
C
70 - 79%
D
60 - 69%
F
0 - 59%
**All rules in the student handbook will be followed.
