Ms. Sherards Class Room Rules and Procedures 1.

In seats and quiet when the bell rings or you will be counted tardy. 2. Students are to be prepared for class pre every day. You should bring something to write with, something to write on and any other materials as assigned. 3. Assignments are due when you walk into the classroom. If they are not completed, they will be graded according to department policy. a. Late work will be accepted if completed within two weeks of the assigned due date. b. The late assignment will receive 70% of the grade received. c. No credit will be given for work turned in later than two weeks from the due date or the end of the grading period.

If you are absent from school and are allowed to make up your work, you may come in after school to get your missing assignments. a. You will be given two days for

every day you are absent to complete the assignment. (This is district policy) b. If you do not turn in the assignment after two days, it will be considered late and will be graded according to the late policy of the Social Studies Department. 5. If you are not participating in class, you will not receive the participation points for that day/assignment. (Not participating means: not staying on task, not working in your assigned group, causing a disturbance in the classroom, etc.) etc. 6. No electronic devices are allowed in this classroom. Cell phones, ipods, MP3 players, etc. a. First offense Verbal warning to put electronics away. b. Second offense Electronics will be taken and returned at the end of the hour. c.Third offense Electronics will c. be sent to the office. 7. Respect and Safety, a. Respect at all times for self,

for others, for me, for property. . b. A safe environment will be maintained at all times. 8. Language a. School Appropriate Language at all times. 9. BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE AND DO YOUR BEST AT ALL TIMES.
