This Week in 5th Grade Math

This week, students will rotate and play each others math board games. They
will review each others games using a peer rubric.
Thank you so much to all of the parents and guardians for your support! The
math board games turned out great.
Students will also review their multiplication facts and practice multi-digit
multiplication. We will be playing several math games to review, including
Boo Bump (a multiplication dice game), Dynamite Multiplication, Jungle Jim
Plays the Drums, and Batters up Baseball.

This week, students will continue working on their Fantasy Baseball Project and compete in a fantasy baseball tournament.
Students will:

Finish creating spinners for each player

Arrange a nine-player lineup

Play simulated games against each other using spinners

Keep track of game data

Create a booklet on their team

Write profiles of their star players

Write an analysis of their most exciting game
