My name is Sam Seifer, and I am writing to you for my English project. I found about
you while I was in Hawaii. I am writing to give you a compliment on the Hike Maka
Project, give you a suggestion on how to spread more awareness, and how I can get
involved.

The Hike Maka Project is a great way for prople to learn about the seals. Getting up
close is really interesting to see. You now get to see their behaviors in a new way that
before was not able to be seen. Many people will thinks its interesting to see and show
their friends. Not only was it informative but it was fun to watch.

If I were to recommend something an improvement, it would be to spread more

awareness. People come and visit Hawaii but leave with no idea as to the monk seals
and their population issues. You could make it a national campaign and then even
visitors from New York, Japan and beyond would become involved. I think if there was
more awareness, people would get involved and donate. I think that would be a great
idea.

I want to help the seals, and I want other people to help them also. I have already taken
the pledge, but I want to do more. Maybe I could help spread awareness by making a
slide show for your website. Please let me know if there are other ways I can help, by
sending me a return letter with supplies and anything other I may need to help.

I look forward to hearing from you in the future. I believe that if you take my suggestion
and letting me help we can do a lot. If we start spreading awareness we could save the
seals. No one wants to see them go so lets help them and save the seals.
