During the Mill Week, mills come with their new developments which may be in the
form of Fabric Swatches.
These are categorized into:
1. Knits,
2. Wovens and
3. Denims.
The knitted fabric is considered according to the required specifications of the
upcoming season and accordingly selected.
The Denim fabric is considered according to the weight which is in Oz and the
specific wash of swatch.
The woven fabric is further categorized as:
1. Yarn Dyed Checks After the fabric is selected CAD is developed.
2. Yarn Dyed Stripes After the fabric is selected CAD is developed.

3. Print Once the print is selected, Artwork is developed and thereafter


Desk Loom.
4. Solids After selecting the fabric Lap Dips are developed.
Once the fabric is selected, the next step is to order the Fabric Yardage (10 meters
to 160 meters).
Simultaneous to this activity Trims are also developed and then ordered.

The next activity to be performed is Design Meeting.


Dockets are developed that includes the MANPACKS. This docket contains trim
details as well as fabric details. Docket costing is done parallel to the next activity,
i.e. MANPACK HAND OVER.

Based on the docket costing, COST OF GOODS is calculated. This cost is
