Dear Parents,
For this last Lenten week our focus is to REFLECT.
Living a full life requires change, and nothing changes
if nothing changes. During this week, we reflect on
each of the previous weeks, what we have learned, and
how we will recommit ourselves to those actions, even
after this journey is over.
This week we will be finishing up our 13 colonies
unit and continuing on with the states homework. I
hope that you have been playing the Out-of-State
License Plate game with your children lately to get
them familiar with the states and discuss the proximity
of states to California. We will be discussing the
findings of the game next week so please continue to
play and enjoy over the next few days. The Living
Stations will be held on Thursday morning at 8:30am in
the church. (It was previously posted as starting at
9:00am but due to the desire to maintain class time, it
will be at 8:30am) We are just a few chapters away
from finishing our book The Watsons go to
Birmingham , which should come to a close this week.
There will be an exam next week as well as some
follow-up historical context when we finish as well. We
will also be continuing to look at subject-verb
agreement in Language arts focusing on tense
agreement. This week will be the last week for
vocabulary for the quarter so make sure your child
finishes strong.
The Spring Festival is just around the corner.
Please make sure you send in your donations with your
students as I will be collecting them regularly. Also, the
Jog-A-Thon is coming up so please keep that in mind
over Easter Vacation. More information will be sent
home next week.
As always, please e-mail me or message me on
ClassDojo if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you and God Bless!
Ms. Krisman
