Title of the lesson : Phrasal verbs
Duration of the lesson: 40 minutes
Equipment needed: Worksheet, whiteboard and board marker, listening track.

Objectives:

Within 20 minutes, the students will be able to recall the words such as; come across,
get angry, run own business, earn money and please with.
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to form sentences using words such
as; come across, get angry, run own business, earn money and please with.

PRESENTATION

Introduction
Teacher comes to class and greeting students. He tries to motivating them to the lesson. He says he is
very unlucky person and tells them some anecdotes from his life.

For instance; I am very unlucky man. While I was coming to school, I missed the bus so I was
getting angry. Actually, I didnt please with my life. But some people are so lucky. For
example, yesterday I came across my friend. He earns money very easily and runs his own
business.
Do you think you are lucky or not?

Main Activity

The teacher and students listen to a track. Firstly, they listen just for the main idea. Secondly,
they listen to answer the comprehension questions then finally they listen to fill in the blanks
in the text that the teacher gives them after first listening.

Post Activity
The teacher gives them a worksheet to check their understanding.
Assessment
As an assessment, the teacher gives some worksheets to the students, including the words
taught recently.These worksheets are prepared by using socrative program. Teacher prepared
quiz by using socrative. S/he asks them to complete the worksheet. Then the teacher evaluates
the worksheets in order to figure out whether the students could memorize the words or not.
