Bbc demographics

Bbc 3 broad target demographic 16 to 34 and that can encompass a

huge range of views and outlooks. In general, theres a sort of attitude,
tone and feel about Three that I go for, which is youthful. The
programmes need to appeal to the whole of that age group across
theschedule but its definitely about an attitude to life ,people who
have a sense of fun and enjoy life

SILMILAR TO OUR IDEA

Alann carr chatty man( presentation skills)

normally feature celebrity guests who talk about their work and personal lives
as well as the latest films, TV shows, music recordings or in other word promote
their public. Alan Carrs personality makes him the person the show and the
audience loves this is why it is as popular as it is. He is Bubbly, outgoing and
very quiet camp. He is never afraid to say something and often puts in one
liners that make everyone laugh, because of this it makes the interviewee relax
and that often makes them more open to talk about things.

This is a chat show, which talks about female over drinking; this lead to
violence . This similar to our ideas, due to the fact they are targeting
female. Ithe chat show included the guess ,she talk about the effect of
binge. This is exactly what we are trying to inmate in our idea .

TARGET AUDIENCE

Me and partner has to decide to target both gender; mostly female. Due
to the fact female are more effected by binge drinking. Research has
shown that female are more effect to binge drink , due to over drinking .
Female drunker are affect by physical and mental health. In 2010 the
frequency among young men remained at 24%, while among
young women it fell to its higher recorded level at 62%.

Women have higher alcohol levels in their

blood than men, and the immediate effects occur
more quickly and last longer. Me and partner
believe getting women to change the way they
view drinking , might have an significant impact
the way female view binge drinking .

PROPOSAL/ AFTERNOON CHAT SHOW

One of our proposal ideas is to create a chat show; this will involve a normal chat show host and guest.
The stage will set a chat show; which will include softer and desk. The chat show will contain a live
audience; which might spread out to wider target audience. The guest will be able to give the effects
from binge drinking, the show will contain be two to three guess on the show. The guess will be ask
question about binge drinking; how it has effected them and how its a problem to the society.

For example one guest will discuss the long term of binge drinking, such as risk of cancer of the oral
cavity. The other guest will discuss the effect of binge drinking short term, such as hangovers and
shaking. Another guest we will have a guest who has been a binge drinker and they will tell us their
story for example; When they started drinking, How they started drinking, What do they drink, how did
it effect them in life etc.

Our age target audience for this program will be around

16-34 year olds because that is bbc3, We want this show
to relate to all the people who binge drink and to try make
them see how bad it is to help them.

PROPOSAL/DOCUMENTARY

This documentary will feature me and my partner going around

finding people who binge drink. Its not finding just people who
binge drink but we will be finding students who are going to
university or people who are in university that go out and binge
drink.

We chose this type of audience because BBC3 targets audience to

16-34 year olds, so we chose people who are going to university a
perfect match as it fits right into that category. Our message from
this programme is to show how students change when they go to
university and how they have never been drinking before but once
they get to university everyone drinks so they are pressured to
drink when they get into university.

This programme will be broadcasted on a Sunday

evening because that is when everyone is home
from a night out and people who binge drink are
hung over and want to stay home and watch
television. This is the best time to broadcast our
show and try to get the message across people
who binge drink and to try to make them stop.

PROPOSAL/ NEWS SHOW

This News show will be more informative about binge drinking

giving out pure facts about the dangers of binge drinking and
what it can do to you and how easily it will cause death if you
binge drink.

It will show archive footage of binge drinkers on a night out

and how they act when they are drunk and all the accidents
that have occurred. We will bring in a guest that knows of a
binge drinker and has been out with them when they are
drunk. This will show the audience how many accidents
happen when you are drunk and the how dangerous it is.

This news show will be broadcasted on a weekday

evening around 7-8pm. This is because most News
are broadcasted at this time so this will be a
perfect time to broadcast our news show. Our
target audience for this show will be aimed at 1635 year olds because we want to get a wide range
of audiences and to keep them informed of the

WHY WOULD THE SHOW BE

SUCCESSFUL

I believe that any of the shows will be successful because we have

researched in depth about binge drinking and we have all the facts and
figures we can use in any of our shows to help us make the show great.
It will also be a success because we believe that this show will help
others to stop binge drinking as we are showing all the dangers that can
happen and all there is to know about binge drinking.

We have done our research on target audience so

we know who will watch our programme. This will
help us on what to include in our programme so
that it can attract the target audience and get
them more involved to make them want to watch
the rest of it.
