Dear Mr. Butler:

writing to urge you to Oppose HB 198, which would remove a humane society's ability to choose a
prosecutor to handle animal cruelty cases. our local humane society has done great work in our
community. our funding does not come primarily from taxpayers, but from individual donors, so we
can provide law enforcement services to the county for free.
I am

our specially appointed prosecutor has helped us a gread deal with our animal cruelty investigation and
prosecutions. The local prosecutor does wonderful work, but she simply doesn't have a gread deal of
experience handlilng animal cses.
