Communication systems‐  

1‐ The purpose of communication network is to transmit data into various forms between 
systems. 
2‐ Each device that is on a network is called a node. 
3‐ Advantages‐ 
 The ability to share peripheral devices such as printers and photocopiers. 
 Being able to share a single internet connection. 
 The ability to play networked games (`‐many people playing the same game at the 
same time. 
4‐ Disadvantages‐ 
 Networks are a big target for hackers. 
 Network can easily fail and brake down. 
5‐  Networks can be classified as ether client server or peer to peer networks. A client server 
network has several users these can store files and data. Peer to peer networks run through 
a switch and all nodes to the network have equal access.  
6‐ The internet could be called the world’s biggest communication network because it is used 
daily by millions worldwide to communicate with the rest of the world.
