Air

 You need air, because without air you


can die.
 You can’t feel air or see it, but it is
there.
 Air is a gas.
 Moving air is called wind.
Wind

 Air blows with more and more force, and


then a windstorm develops.
 There are many kinds of windstorms.
 Windstorms can cause damage.
 THE EARTH IS WRAPPED IN A
BLANKET OF AIR.

Facts about Wind

 Warm air, which weighs less than cold


air, rises.
 Then cool air moves in and replaces the
rising warm air, which causes the air to
move.
 The moving air is called WIND.
The Blowing Winds

 Winds blow in all directions.


 Wind and air both blow.
WHAT MAKES WIND?


 A mass of heavy air rolls in and pushes on
a mass of lighter air.
 When the air masses move/that is wind.
