    ASWSUV Nineteenth Senate 2009-10 Session
    By Senators Chu, Boles, and Guzman
    Date: 29 August 2009

    AN ACT Adding the ASWSUV Mission Statement as a Preamble to the By-laws.

    BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASWSUV SENATE:


    Sec. 1. The By-laws shall be amended to include a Preamble prior to the Table of Contents.

    Sec. 2. The Preamble shall read:


    The Mission of the Associated Students of Washington State University Vancouver is to provide
    to the students of Washington State University Vancouver a unique student life experience through advocacy,
    leadership, and activities.

    STATEMENT OF FACT:
    This statement was created at the 2009 ASWSUV Summer Retreat. As a lasting legacy,
    this should be added. This will also encourage subsequent Student Governments to carry out the
    mission that this Student Government has set forth.
