PROHIBITON

A Wine Club Party Proposal

23 January 2016

Prohibition Party
Project Plan
I propose that Paradise Springs Winery will host Prohibition Party. This proposal will include cost, labor and proposed activities that
will take place at the event. This event will be open to wine club members only. This will make the club members feel as if they are apart
of something special. There will be a cost associated of $35 with this event in order to cover prizes. Attendees will be told the speakeasy
password up to 12 hours in advance. There will also be a costume contest and door prizes. All attendees will receive a wristband and 2
wine tickets upon entry.
Prohibition Party will take place on the 23rd of January 2016 from 7:30 PM until 10 PM. This is not during normal operation hours;
therefore all patrons will have to leave the property before the party may take place. All guests will be given a wristband to show that they
are allowed to stay on property. The 30 minutes between closing and the start of the party allows staff to set up as well as organize the
event. This event has the potential to profit PSW up to $2,600 solely from people signing up. It will cost staff salary ($9/hr). The event
will take place on property and will be geared for the wine lovers and the thrill of Prohibition. By this event, it will provide the Wine
Club community to take place in an event that is interactive and will provide a means of them to get to know one another.

Key Publics

Objectives

Wine Club Members

To have 75 club members attend the event

To make a profit of $2,600

Activities
Door Prizes: Attendees will receive a ticket at time of entry and random winners will be called for items ranging from complementary
tasting cards, a bottle of wine, and tours of the property.
Costume Contest: This activity will allow Wine Club members get into the spirit of Prohibition. Ladies and Gentleman will
automatically be entered into this contest if they are wearing anything that could be considered 1920s Prohibition. Including but not
limited to, flapper dresses and pinstripe suites. Winners will not only receive a bottle of wine (less than $30 plus tax) but will have the
opportunity to be featured in the Wine Club newsletter. Second and Third place will receive complementary wine tasting cards.

Staff Needed

Cost

The event will need at minimum 5 staff members and

maximum of 10. There will be 3 staff members needed for
the hat contest. One staff member will be placed at the door
to hand out tickets, after this member will be placed behind
the bar. The other 4 members of the team will be behind the
bar doing tastings. A manager will be calling winners of door
prizes.

The winery has virtually no cost associated with them.

Because it is on property, there is no need to obtain an ABC
license, a location or find parking. The only cost that is being
occurred is paying the staff members. With the potential to
make $2,600 just from the initial sign ups, this gives the
winery the ability to make a profit after hours while making
the wine club members happy.

Total: $720 for hourly wages

Net Profit: $1,900
