    Communications Networks

    1. Communication Networks are a set of procedures and concepts


    transferring files to computers systems.

    2. When networks become larger and more complicated, more computers


    and their peripheral devices are used. Each device on a network is called
    a node

    3. When you have a network you can share a number of items like:

    -Sharing a Single internet connection

    -Access to Shared documents and files

    -Ability to play network games

    4. Disadvantages:

    -There is a significant cost in setting up a network

    -Equipment Failure

    5. In networks there is Client-Server Networks and Peer- to-Peer


    Networks.

    Client-server networks are used with many clients and can share files
    and printers..ect, ect

    6. The internet could be classified as the worlds biggest network


    because all the computers

    are connect to the “same Network”
