Description
Slideshow/Video: The children can
begin working on the
slideshow/video for the open
house. In addition, they may work
on art projects to display for the
open house.
During this time, the children will
be eating breakfast.
For our morning meeting, we will
play Thats Me! about our
weekends.
Marble Foam Art: The children
will get to spray bath foam and
swirl food coloring into it to make
a design. They will then lay a
piece of paper on top to transfer
the design from the table to the
paper.
Free Play
For our read-aloud, we will
continue reading Sideways Stories
of Wayside Schools.
During this time, we will be eating
lunch.
After lunch, the children will
engage in silent reading. If there
are children who do not wish to
read for the full 45 minutes, they
may draw or write instead.
Rockets: We will launch our bottle
rockets and build smaller rockets
which we will launch using water
and alka-seltzer.
Free Play
During this time, we will be eating
snack.
After snack, we will all meet on
the carpet. We will talk about our
favorite things from the day as
well as anything that was
challenging or that the children
didnt like. We will also talk about
what we are going to do for the
rest of the day and the next day.
