PERFORMANCE CALCULATION

5.1 Heat Rate


Heat rate is the rate of heat input (kj/s) required to produce unit shaft output
(1kw).
Heat rate =Q1/Wnet kj/kws
5.2 STEAM RATE
It is defined as the rate of steam flow (kg/s) required producing unit shaft
output (1KW).
Steam rate=1/Wnet kg/kw
