Grade Level: 4-8 Items: Soft Foam Ball (2) 1. Starting with the teacher, hold the soft foam ball; say your name plus your hobby and then pass the ball to the next person. 2. The next person repeats the process until all the students have held the ball and said their name and their hobby out loud. 3. The teacher begins again, but now with a second soft foam ball. 4. The teacher will pass the two balls to different students. 5. The student with the ball will try and remember the the name and hobby of the other student holding the ball. 6. The students will then pass the ball to another student and repeat the process. Variations: You can modify this activity by adding in something related to your hobby, an interesting fact, favorite TV show/video game, favorite foods and an embarrassing moment. Name of Activity: Blanket Game Grade Level: 4-8 Items: One large blanket 1. The teacher will divide the class in to two even teams for this activity. 2. The teacher will bring out a large blanket and the other team will hide behind the blanket. 3. The teacher will hold one side of the blanket while the other side is being held by the student behind the blanket. Make sure their hand is not being shown. 4. The teacher will countdown from three seconds and the other team has 10 seconds to guess the students name. A point will be given if the team answered with the right name of the student. If the team failed to get the right name, the other team gets a point. 5. The team with the most points wins the blanket game.
