LITERACY

MATH

CCSS: RL 1.3 Students will describe

characters, settings, and major events in a
story, using key details.

We have been focusing on daily Math routines

and counting to 120. We are introducing First
Grade Math vocabulary and discussing strategies
that help make Good Math Learners. We will
look at data from our name study to make graphs
and charts.

Focus text: Chrysanthemum

Comprehension: Plot & Story Elements
Strategy: Retell Identifying character,
setting, problem, solution, and events from
the beginning, middle, and end of a story

Our Phonics Focus for the next 3 weeks will be review from
Kindergarten. Refer to the attached list of letters and
sounds, and practice them with your child.
