Storage Administrator
Responsibilities
Provide storage administration for EMC Symmetrix-DMX, Vmax and for Clariion
Storage frames.
Proficient in everyday jobs like troubleshooting the SAN environment, allocating
LUNs
Create, expand, destroy raid groups using Navisphere Manager and monitored the
status.
Create of Storage groups and assigning the luns and the host to the storage groups
using Navisphere manager.
SMC in Vmax.
Configuring Zoning on Brocade and CISCO switches /directors.
HBA drivers and firmware installation and upgrade Windows Servers.
Creating and resizing the volumes on Windows hosts using Disk Management
Perform capacity planning and reporting to ensure efficient use of storage
Diagnosing hardware/software problems and provide solutions.
Closely monitor server storage performance and utilization, identify problems and
recommend/implement solutions.
Resolve cabling and connectivity issues.
Troubleshooting day to day performance issues and resolved them using Navisphere
Analyzer and Event monitor
