    Weve had a great start to the year! This week


    we spent a lot of time getting back into the
    routines and checking in on skills we learned last

    Math We started working on adding and


    subtracting decimals. (CCSS.5.NBT.7)
    Writing We brainstormed and wrote about our
    summer vacations. (CCSS.W.5.5)
    Reading We practiced answering WHquestions about the stories we read. (RL.5.1)
    Science We have been journaling about our
    observations in nature. (RI.5.4)
    Social Skills We are starting the year by
    practicing identifying our emotions.

    Our Specialist Schedule:


    Day 1 Music
    Day 2 Art
    Day 3 Library
    Day 4 Math Specialist
    Day 5 Technology
    We attend Phys. Ed. On Tuesdays and Thursdays.
    Speech/OT schedules differ by student.
