Basic Care:
1. Do NOT use dry erase
markers on the SMART Board
2. Be mindful of cord paths,
foot traffic, and safety.
3. Only a delicate touch is
needed when interacting with the
boards surface.
4. Never spray liquids directly
on to the boards surface.

SMART Exchange is a one-stop destination designed to provide teachers with access to all

Harveys Homepage is a collection of SMART activities developed by a retired teacher for
all mathematical strands. Lessons can be downloaded directly from the site or purchased
on a flash drive.

Allen Teachers provides resources and applications similar to the TEI questions that will be
seen on the SOL test. Students can practice with these questions independently or on an
interactive whiteboard.

Power My Learning allows teachers to hand pick activities and create purposeful "playlists"
for students. You can create your own playlists or select from pre-made playlists to assign
to your students based on individual needs. Teachers can create a class account for student
log in or can create individual student accounts.

This website contains a collection of Interactive Teaching Programs. Each come with a
guide to explain how to operate the program.

Interactive Sites for Education is a great website with plenty of interactive mathematics
activities. These activities can be utilized for review, remediation, or even enrichment
during whole group using the mobile lab laptops or during small group rotations on
desktops or the SmartBoard.

Thinking Blocks provides interactive templates in which students use blocks to model and
solve problems. There are templates and problems for addition, multiplication, fractions,
and ratios or you can develop your own problems. Activities can prepare students for those
TEI questions on the SOL test AND can help students become accustomed to more
rigorous thinking. Students are also provided with feedback as they work.

On the RPSTech.org SmartBoard site, you can plan your classroom lessons using an
assorted collection of sites and great finds. You will find several great sites to utilize as you
complete your instructional planning.
