Reading
Readers know that a prediction is what they think might
happen next in a story. Readers know that when they
make a prediction they use what the story says, the pictures, and their schema to make a good prediction
about what will happen next. Readers use evidence
from the text to support their predictions.

Word Work:
A blend occurs when two or three consonants are together in
a word and you can hear both sounds, but they are blended
together.

This weeks focus will be on:


L blends: plate, flake, globe, black
S blends: swim, stop, spill, sniff, scan, slow
High Frequency Words: catch, school, change

Writing
Memoirs: Writers write with good details and complete
thoughts. They have events in their stories that follow a
beginning, middle

Math
Make multiples of ten to find sums. We will go on to making
hundreds and adding larger numbers. Students will continue
to make a multiple of ten and add the rest to find a sum.
