The 6th grade County-Wide Writing Assessment will take


place on Tuesday. Students will be responding to a writing
prompt. This test has taken the place of the writing SOL in
5th grade and is given to students in 3rd-7th grade.
SPRING PICTURES will be WEDNESDAY! These pictures will
be both for individual and class photos. Dress nicely
please!
Pennies For Patients is this months outreach project that
students are participating in throughout the school Your
spare change goes towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society to help children with cancer. Letters about the
project were sent home with report cards!

Congratulations to our
Destination Imagination (DI)
team on their 1st place win at
Regionals last weekend! The
team will compete at the state
level on April 9th!

Sixth graders will take the county wide writing
assessment on Tuesday, March 15. We will
have writing conferences on Monday to
review writing techniques. Additionally, we will
finish up our study on mythology. Students will
have a test on mythology on Friday. The test
will cover Baucis and Philemon and
Medusas Head in the literature book. New
reading logs will be given on Monday and are
due on March 28.
