Check switchboard for;- condition and any damage.
- ventilation.
- evidence of overheating.

INSULATION
Check condition of all insulation, especially for, damage, cracks, signs of
tracking or blistering and any defects.

BUSBARS
Check condition of busbars, especially for;- discolouration from heating.
- damaged insulation.
- deformation.
- adequate support.
Check all neutral bars or links.

OTHER MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION


Check that all wiring duct covers are fitted.
Replace missing pole fillers.

Use heat sensitive detector to locate any hot spots.

CONNECTIONS AND CABLE TERMINATIONS


Check all main electrical connections;- for signs of overheating or verdigris.
- are tight and making good contact.
Check main earthing for continuity and mechanical protection.
Check integrity of main earth electrode.
Check integrity of MEN link.
Check integrity of main earth conductor.

AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT
Check condition and operation of auxiliary equipment, if applicable.

FUSES, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, SWITCHES AND SWITCH UNITS


Check condition and operation.

LEGEND - CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION


check that Legend Card entries correspond with Protection Device

CIRCUIT IDENTITY VALIDATION


Random check one power circuit and one light circuit to ensure that the Legend
Card entry corresponds with actual site designations and with services, supplies,
accessories, plant and equipment identification.
Report on extent of any discrepancies.

Check all equipment for security of mounting.

Record all results in log book.
