Curriculum Night Thursday, September 17th

Please plan on coming to learn about
important fourth grade goals and how you
can best help your child succeed. You will
receive volunteer hours for attending. The
meeting is 6:30-7:30 in our classroom. I look
forward to seeing you.

Yankee Candle Packets went home today. This
is the BIG fundraiser for our school. Please
help sell the candles. Orders are due
October 2nd.

Students should bring their recorders

to music next week.

In math next week we will begin

Chapter 2, which focuses on addition
and subtraction. This includes
adding and subtracting mentally
large numbers such as
8,225 6,397 = (Yes, mentally) I
will be assigning the online selfcheck quiz daily next week that follows each
lesson. This quiz is optional, but it lets you
know how you child is doing.

Trafalgar Middle School has asked our school to partner

with them in a Shoe Drive from
September 3-October 5. Please post
this information in your newsletter or
send out an e-mail to families. Look at
your own homes and bring in shoes. We are looking for
new and used shoes. We are looking for men, women,
adults, children - it does not matter. Our school has two
collection points - a box in the front office and a box
sitting outside Room 220.
