Boston Massacre
OK State Content Standard 1: The student will
analyze the foundations of the United States by
examining the causes, events, and ideologies which
led to the American Revolution.

TTW assess students knowledge by
verbally asking content questions to
determine students level of
knowledge regarding events of

Boston Massacre. Students will write
down answers. The pre-test will be
given 1 day before the handout is
given and the video is viewed.

Massacre. TTW give a short lecture
covering a basic timeline leading up
to events of the Boston Massacre.

students will be arranged in small
groups using classroom or computer

*The time is merely a suggestion based on a 45-55 minute period of time (normally middle school and high school).
Elementary school schedule depends on the subject. ELA/Reading is normally no less than a 90 minute block of
time.

Technology- describe the kind(s) of devices required for the activity (must
relate to previous details): Classroom computer or computer lab to watch
youtube video. 1 computer per 5 students.
Describe the Apps or WebsitesStudents will watch Youtube: Access powtoon video about Boston Massacre
in small groups at computers in the classroom or in the computer lab.

Learning Activity- briefly describe the mobile learning activity: TSW view
powtoon video and TTW explain in detail the events of the Boston Massacre.

mobile devices and how you hope to limite these negative behaviors:

TTW: verbally assess students knowledge of events surrounding Boston
Massacre, then after video give a written assessment regarding content and
dates.
Ex: What was one of the Intolerable Acts?
What date did the Boston Massacre occur?
