$135 for float budget; Bria Scott seconded.
Media Budget: $1,000 was last year's budget. Discussed that this
amount is probably too low. Tabled for next meeting.
Fundraisers:
We will always do basketball tournament in February
(4th, 5th and 6th grades). Volleyball, Janice Vance - probably not a good idea
at this point. 3 on 3 youth tournament - hard to find this type of event
anywhere close to here so could be a good opportunity; age groups 3rd or
4th grade through 6th; 7th and 8th grade too depending on rules for JH.
Janice Vance will be in charge of this. Golf tournament - Melanie will contact
Becky Yoxall.
New Business:
Lionbackers Directory: Tammy Shanks will prepare another flyer to
announce the directory and get it out to students on September 28 or 29.
We will close the directory at the end of September. Tammy Shanks will
prepare the directory.
Concessions: Homecoming. There are some concerns about the use of
donated items and loss of donated items. Also discussed a lack of seating
near the concession stand. There was also mention of a need for more
roasters and a crockpot in the future. Tabled for next meeting. It was
discussed to set the budget for homecoming at $600. A motion was made
by Tammy Shanks to approve the budget of $600. This motion was seconded
by Bria Scott.
Teacher Appreciation Grants: Last year's budget was $2,500. A
motion was made by Bria Scott to approve a budget of $2,500 this year.
Melissa Baccus seconded the motion.
Musical: Discussed providing food the night of the musical - Becca
Metzler has offered to do this. Melissa Baccus made a motion to approve a
$100 budget for food for each musical (two musicals during the school year);
Tammy Shanks seconded the motion.
Staff Appreciation Christmas: All staff are included - 90 people
approximately. Discussed gift ideas for this year. Melissa Baccus made a
motion that the budget for the staff appreciation Christmas gifts be no more
than $300. Bria Scott seconded the motion.
