Getting started Guide

What is Firedrive
Firedrive is a free cloud storage service that lets you store your les and share them with your
friends or colleagues, from anywhere, on any device. Firedrive lets you store, share and manage
your les online seamlessly.

Upload & Create Folder

Upload There are several ways you can upload your les to Firedrive.
1. Press on the upwards arrow on the top right of the main navigation menu;
2. Drag and drop your les directly on the My les page.
Create New Folder
1. Press on the folder with a + sign on the top right of the main navigation menu
Uploading whole folders
1. Drag the folder that contains your folders and drop it directly on the My les page.

File & Folder Options

Various le and folders options appear when you select or hover over an item. These options can
be accessed either through the main actions menu at the top right or the right click menu where your
les are displayed.

The highlighted options above let you share, delete, copy, rename or change your
les settings. The same actions can be performed to more than one le or folder.

Moving Files or Folders

To move a le or folder, simply select it and drag it to either the folder tree on the
left or to an item in the main le viewer on the right.

Deleting Files or Folders

To delete, simply select the item(s) and choose delete or press the Del Key on your keyboard. All deleted
les will go to the garbage bin where they can be retrieved or deleted forever.

How do I access the les and folders of my groups?

There are two ways to view the les and folders of your groups.
1. You can access them from My Files

2. You can access them directly from the My Groups page by double clicking on the group or
using the right click menu.

How do I share my Files & Folders?

There are several ways to share your les and folders with Firedrive
1. Once your les have nished uploading, you can either quickly copy the link or share it
straight from the upload manager. (Files Only)

2. Share them or copy the link through the File Manager

Important!
The items you share, if private, will automatically turn public once you share them.
Turning a shared item back to private will make it inaccessible to anyone publicly.

Where are my account settings?

To access your account settings, click on the top right prole icon and click on Settings

How do I access my Public Prole?

To access your Public Prole, click on the top right prole icon and click on your username.

How do I push & remove folders from my Public Prole?

Your public prole is a dedicated personal page that can contain les and folders that you want to
showcase to your friends or co-workers.
1. Push to prole
You can only push folders that contain les to your public prole by selecting a folder and clicking
on Push to prole in the right click menu.

1. Remove from Prole

To remove a folder from your Public prole, simply select it and click on Remove from public
prole in the right click menu.
*Folders that have been pushed to your public prole will have a Public Prole icon next
to them.

How do I create a Filedrop?

Filedrops allow others to easily send you their les without having them sign up or login to any Firedrive account.
To create a Filedrop, simply right click on the Folder you want to enable the feature to and click on Filedrop.

1. Public Filedrops
Public ledrops allow you to let anyone, no matter who you share the ledrop link with,
to upload to your folder. They will not be able to see what others have uploaded to it.
2. Private Filedrops
Private Filedrops are only accessible with the login credentials you will have to generate and send
to the users you want to share your Filedrop with.

Enabling Comments and Feedbacks for les

To allow Comments and Feedbacks, select the les you want to enable this feature to and click on the
Settings icon in the top right action menu or right click menu.

Garbage Bin & One-time Download Links

All deleted les and folders can be found in the garbage bin in the More button in the top right menu.
To view the status of the one-time download links you have generated, click on 1-time Downloads.

Moving les between your groups & private folders

To move les between your dierent groups and private folders, simply switch between the My Folders
icon & and the My Groups icon in the top left menu above the folder tree.

Click on the My Groups icon > Select the group

in the folder tree > Click on the My Folders icon
> Drag and drop the folder from the group to any
folder you want in your My Folders.
