A Teachers Promise

I will teach them to write, teach them to

read.
I will teach them to dream and to succeed.
I will show them worlds theyve not seen
before.
I will show them heights
from whence they could soar.
I need no accolades, I need no acclaim.
I need no trophies or spotlights or fame.
Give me strength of spirit, and a willing
ear.
Come what may, I have nothing to fear.
And though difficult be the task at hand,
Proudly I teach, therefore, I am.
