Upcoming Recruiting Meetings
o Students finalized travel arrangements to the following student job expos
Rocky Mountain Rendezvous (Laramie, WY) Sept. 17-21, 2015
AAPG SEG Student Expo (Houston, TX) Sept. 22-23, 2015
AAPG table/booth at Earth Science Day
o Brainstorming for activities, posters, etc. at an AAPG club table during Earth
Science Day at UTEP on Oct. 17th
o Members with suggestions may email those to any club officer
Proposed rig trip
o Officers are currently working with Apache Corporation in Midland, TX to
coordinate a club visit to an operating rig
o Check back for details on when this proposed trip will occur and for sign-up
in an upcoming meeting once logistics are worked out
Regular meeting times
o Going forward, regular member meetings will be held every other Monday at
2:00pm in Geological Sciences Rm 308
o We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting, Monday, Sept. 28, 2015
