Uncle Johns Cider

Field Trip

When: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23rd


9:00 AM: Herrmann, Lenneman, Grindle, Fitzpatrick, Volkers
12:00 P.M: Shaler, Vandecar, Sermak, Grewe, Langs
We are taking a fun field trip to Uncle Johns Cider Mill. All children will have cider and
donuts, play in the Kids playground area, take a wagon ride and jump on the inflatables! We
will also learn about the apple/pumpkin life cycle as part of the science curriculum. Dress in

warm and comfy clothing, as we will be outside most of the day- we will go rain or shine!

Requested Cost: $10.00 per student. Please send cash or check made payable to
Dewitt Public Schools in a labeled envelope. Include childs name, teachers name and
cash/check. Money due Monday, October 12th .

Bring a SACK LUNCH, we will be eating lunch at Uncle


Johns. *Please pack a nut free lunch to respect our allergy policy. Thank you! In
an effort to keep lunch items organized, we ask that you send a labeled paper sack
lunch, with items/containers that can all be thrown away when done.

Bus Info: Due to District Policy, ALL students are required to ride the bus to
and from the cider mill. Parents may not transport children.
Volunteers: Busses will leave FECC at 8:45 a.m (a.m. groups) and 11:45 a.m. (p.m groups) Each class
can accommodate 1 adult chaperone on the bus. Additional volunteers will drive
separately and meet classes at the cider mill. Due to limited space, no siblings
please. Volunteers should arrive at Uncle Johns at 9:05 a.m or 12:00 p.m.
