Return to Mrs. Berrian

September 2015
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year! The beginning of a new school year is a fresh
start for students and a time to set goals for the year ahead. Talk with your children
about the characteristics of successful students. Successful students establish goals, plan
ahead, organize their time, and make sure that they have all materials deeded to complete
their work at school and at home. They keep track of all assignments and recognize that it
is their responsibility to do their best.
Realistic goals should be set for individual children. Not every child can be an A
student. Children should always do their best in order to reach success. Self- confidence
and pride in doing their best should be instilled in children daily. No matter how busy
your day, you should always schedule time to listen to your child and ask questions that
affirm your interest in school activities. When problems arise, help your child to analyze
the issues and then express faith in your childs ability to determine the best solution.
The following information will tell you about my plans and expectations for the
school year. Please read and discuss the information with you children.
I look forward to a great year of working with you and your child. Please feel free
to contact me with any concerns that you may have.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,

Ms. Berrian
